For all the Harry Potter fans out there–June is a veritable birthday celebration month. June 5 is the birthday of Draco Malfoy–bad boy we love. June 23 is the birthday of Dudley Dursley–another bad boy who grows on us and is adorable. And June 28 is the birthday of the most beloved non-human character in the entire series–Dobby, the house elf.
Be sure to eat special sweet treats sent from home on Draco’s birthday–the pricier the better. Have a Knickerbocker Glory and a big slice of cake on Dudley’s birthday–over-indulgence is key.. And wear your favorite socks as you enjoy cake and ice cream (both preferably home-made by your own house elves) on Dobby’s birthday.
May I also suggest re-reading the series! Or at least, reading some portions. There’s a lot of great language and story-telling going on in these books.
