We celebrate the author birthday of Virginia Hamilton on March 12. Winner of the National Book Award and many others, including for M.C. HIGGINS, THE GREAT, she is best known for her children’s books, although she has coming-of-age novels, folk tale and other short story collections, and cradle-to grave story collections.
While she rests in peace, her memory and legacy live on in more than 40 books she has given us. Take a break and read!
